Long John Silvers - I'm not angry @ LJS
JUST FYI, Today at around 5:00 PM, I went to the Long John Silver's (LJS) restaurant located on Laburnam Ave at Mechanicsville Turnpike in Richmond (Henrico County) VA. On one side of the restaurant is a KFC, on the other a Wendy's; both had quite a few cars in their respective parking lots.
The LJS lot was EMPTY. I first thought they were closed. When I tried the entrance door was locked. I started to leave when I noticed an employee sitting in a booth having a soda.
I rapped on the window and asked if they were open. When she answered in the affirmative I requested she open the entrance door. She couldn't as it appeared to be dead bolt locked, so she told me to come in the exit. Upon entering the (empty) restaurant, I noticed all the employees seemed to be taking a break but quickly took my order.
I asked one of them if they weren't "going to open the door". His reply was "I don't know who locked it". When I left customers were still arriving at both neighboring restaurants.... but LJS still had no traffic and appeared to be closed.
As I said, I am certainly not angry, I was served quickly; I may have misread the entire situation but it appeared ALL the employees were taking an extended break.
It would be interesting to check receipts for this time period just to estimate sales (or lack thereof). I have been in retail many years and saddened when business is lost for no good reason.
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
